How the journal earns its standards.
A documented account of the research selection, contributor review, fact-checking, and publication process that governs every Bravonis entry. No entry is published without completing each stage.
Research Selection
Every entry begins with a literature review. Contributors identify peer-reviewed publications relevant to the topic. Sources are assessed for publication date, journal standing, and sample relevance to the Indonesian context.
Contributor Draft
A qualified contributor drafts the entry. All factual claims are tagged with their source reference. The draft is submitted to the editorial coordinator before any further work proceeds.
Independent Verification
The editorial coordinator independently verifies each tagged claim against its cited source. Discrepancies are returned to the contributor for revision. Entries with unresolved discrepancies are not published.
Language Review
Verified entries are reviewed for register and tone. The journal uses a defined vocabulary list and prohibits outcome-amplifying language. Claims that cannot be substantiated by the source material are removed.
Publication & Archive
The final entry is assigned a publication date and archived with its complete reference list. Archive entries are flagged for annual review. Entries where the reference base has been superseded are updated or retired.
What qualifies as an accepted reference.
Bravonis does not regard all sources equally. The editorial team applies a source hierarchy that prioritises published, peer-reviewed nutritional and exercise science over practitioner blogs, brand-sponsored white papers, or anecdotal practitioner testimony.
Where a topic lacks a strong published research base, the entry will say so explicitly. The journal does not fill evidence gaps with speculation. An acknowledged absence of evidence is more honest than a confident claim without it.
Ingredient profiles referenced in supplement discussions are selected based on published nutritional research and undergo independent batch verification for quality and labelling accuracy.
Peer-reviewed publications in indexed nutritional, exercise science, and public health journals. Meta-analyses and systematic reviews given highest weight.
Published review articles, national dietary guidelines from recognised bodies, and documented contributions from credentialed nutrition professionals. Must be corroborated by Tier 1 where possible.
Practitioner observations, observational cohort studies, and wellness practitioner input. Used only to contextualise Tier 1 and Tier 2 findings — never as standalone evidence for a claim.
Brand-sponsored research, testimonial evidence, influencer-attributed claims, or sources without verifiable authorship. These are excluded at the research selection stage.
Active ingredients. Documented suppliers. Food-grade standards.
Active ingredients referenced in Bravonis content are sourced from documented suppliers, with each batch accompanied by a certificate of composition. Sourcing prioritises suppliers whose facilities maintain food-grade processing standards.
The journal does not endorse specific supplement brands. Where ingredient sourcing is discussed, it is framed as editorial context, not as a product recommendation. Readers are directed to review certificates of composition independently before making any purchasing decision.
Every ingredient batch referenced carries a certificate of composition from the supplier. Documentation is retained in the editorial archive.
Third-party verified ingredient concentrations and labelling accuracy reviewed before inclusion in editorial content.
Suppliers whose facilities maintain food-grade processing standards. No endorsement of non-food-grade sourcing practices.
Sourcing documentation is retained in the editorial archive. Readers may request evidence packs via the contact page for specific entries.
What happens when an entry is found to be inaccurate.
Bravonis operates a documented corrections policy. When an inaccuracy is identified — whether by a reader, a contributor, or the editorial team — the following procedure applies without exception.
The entry is flagged for review within 48 hours of the inaccuracy being identified. The flagging is recorded in the editorial log.
The original source is re-examined. If the inaccuracy is confirmed, the relevant claim is corrected or removed and the entry is republished with a correction notice at the bottom.
If the inaccuracy reflects a broader problem with a source category (e.g. a referenced publication has been retracted), all entries drawing on that source are reviewed and corrected as necessary.
Readers who identified the inaccuracy are notified by email where contact details were provided. The correction is logged in the editorial archive permanently.
Standards that evolve with the evidence.
Each January, the Bravonis editorial team conducts a full review of the journal's editorial standards documentation. The review examines whether the source hierarchy, contributor requirements, and verification procedures remain aligned with the current state of published nutritional and wellness research.
Where published research has shifted — for example, where a nutrient function previously described as well-established has been qualified by newer studies — the standard is updated to reflect the revised picture. Past entries that relied on the outdated standard are reviewed and, where necessary, corrected or archived.
The annual review record is retained internally. A summary of substantive changes is available to readers on request via the contact page.
